Alvin A Opp

Alvin Opp, 86, of Lincoln, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at his home.

Alvin was born June 26, 1929 in Hazelton, ND. He was a member of the College View Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Alvin served in the U.S. Army. He worked at American Stores and Lincoln Regional Center, retiring in 2000. Alvin married Ella Heinle. He loved camping and traveling with his family.

Alvin is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ella; two sons, David Opp of Lincoln, NE and Darvis (Kathy) Opp of Boise, ID; two daughters, DeAnn (Monte) Eastin, and Doreen Opp all of Lincoln, NE; two grandchildren, Stefanie (Daniel) Leyden of Waverly, NE, and Nick (Amanda) Eastin of Bondurant, IA; one great grandson, Rhys Kreiter; sister, Esther Keller; Brother, Robert Opp; sister-in-law, Shirley Opp all of Lincoln, NE; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Christian and Margaretha Opp; two sisters; and eight brothers.

Memorial service will be 11:00am, Friday, January 15, 2015 at the College View Seventh-day Adventist Church, 4801 Prescott Ave.

Memorials may be given to College View Seventh-day Adventist Church building fund.
