Arleen Holloway Obituary (1931 - 2025)

Arleen Holloway, affectionately known as "Babe," took her final bow on December 29, 2025, just shy of her 94th birthday. Born on the last day of 1931 in Fairbury, Nebraska, Arleen's life was a rich tapestry of love, loyalty, and warmth. Like the humble sunflower, Arleen was rooted in her Nebraska soil, showcasing an unwavering love for her family and an enduring loyalty to her beloved husband, George. Arleen was a consummate home maker, transforming a simple house into a home, where love, laughter, and the aroma of delicious meals wafted through the air. Arleen's favorite food was Culver's shrimp. Though she wasn't fond of fishing herself, she enjoyed the stories shared by George and nephews and nieces. Arleen loved to travel, her husband George's work with Jacon North allowed them to travel to major cities, participating in activities and tours that were as diverse and exciting as the cities themselves. Each location was a new chapter in their shared adventures. Her most cherished adventure was her marriage to George on May 29th, 1955, an event that she considered her greatest achievement. Arleen is survived by her nephew Patrick (Sandra) Boley, great-nephew Shawn (Veronica) Boley, and her great-niece Shauna (Rob) Johnson, many nieces and nephews, cousins Dianna Anderson and Nancy Standley and her good friend Mike Langenberg. She is preceded in death by her husband George Holloway, her parents Oren and Helen Boley, her sister Janice (John) Durflinger, and her brother Dennis Boley.
