Arlene McCarter

Arlene Joann McCarter, known as Missy McCarter, 73, of Lincoln, passed away August 16, 2024 from dementia and Alzheimer's disease. She was born on April 25, 1951 in Omaha to Chesley Sr Johnson and
Dardanella (Washburn) Johnson.

She was married John M "Pops" McCarter, on June 8th, 2008. She received her high school GED a little later in life. Missy's favorite things to do with her daughter included shopping for purses, clothing, and shoes especially when everything was on sale.
She also enjoyed cooking in the kitchen with John, and spending time with him and her family.

Missy McCarter is survived by husband, John, children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Chesley Sr Johnson and Dardanella (Washburn) Johnson; brother, Chesley Jr Johnson.

Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 12-3PM, at Lincoln Family Funeral Care, 5849 Fremont Street.

Family is requesting no gifts at this time.
