Carla Squitieri of Lincoln was born October 24, 1951, to Ernie and Goldie Pearson. She grew up in Raymond and graduated from Raymond Central high school. She worked at the grocery store in Raymond before going to work as a press operator for 20 years. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family.\n\nCarla loved spending time with family and friends, whether it was at home, out road tripping, or out camping. She loved her pets, especially Camie. She enjoyed taking the bus to the boats and playing the slots every chance, she could get. She eagerly waited for the annual trip to Las Vegas.\n\nCarla was loved by many; she was one of a kind; and she will always and forever hold a special place in our hearts.\n\nSurvived by her husband of 32 years, Andy Squitieri, daughter Kim Blazek and son Jeff Blazek, grandsons Holden and Landon Ludwig, sister and brother-in-law Paula and Doug Alleman, brother and sister-in-law Clay and Melinda Pearson and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her father Ernie, her mother Goldie, her brothers Steve and Clint, and her sister Susan.\n\nCelebration of Life will be held at Country Inn and Suites 5353 N. 27th (lower-level Nebraska Ballroom) Sunday September 25th from 4 - 8 p.m. Hors d'oeuvres will be served at the celebration of life.
