Carol Janet Gabbert

Carol J. Gabbert, 80, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023, at The Monarch in Lincoln, Nebraska. Born June 19, 1942, in Gordon, Nebraska, the daughter of Arnold and Edna (Malone) Pruden. Carol graduated from Gordon High School and attended Union College in Lincoln. She married Delbert E. Gabbert on July 22, 1962. Carol worked for the State of Nebraska. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crossword puzzles, word searches, and reading.
Carol enjoyed spending time with her family. When her children were in grade school she was an active pathfinder leader and involved in church activities. She always enjoyed special sewing projects for her children and grandchildren.
Carol is survived by her daughters, Melanie Gabbert and Janet (Denny) Vaughn; grandchildren, Clayton (Crystal) Jindra, Alixandria (Andrew) Jacob, Dylan (Kylie) Jindra, July Jackson (Lexis) Jindra, Michael Gabbert, Lily Gabbert, Booker Gabbert and Terra Kurtz; great-grandchildren, Lucy, Polly, Stevie, Finley, Fletcher, Collins, Porter, Russell, and Marlo; siblings, Linda (Loren) Wehling and James (Carolyn) Pruden; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Lisa Jindra; and sister, Joyce Palmer.
