Carole Kovarik

Carole Jean Kovarik, age 90, passed away on April 10th, 2025, at The Meadows in Ashland, Nebraska. She was born on March 18, 1935, at the Crete Hospital in Crete, Nebraska to Forrest “Brownie” Hudkins and Marie (Franta) Hudkins.

Carole attended Crete Public Schools. On July 19, 1953, Carole married Joseph W. Kovarik and made their home on the family farm. They have three sons Kelly, Michael and Mark.

In 1983, Carole and Joseph moved to Lincoln, Nebraska where Carole worked in housekeeping at Bryan Hospital. Carole was a member of the Crete Eastern Star. She joined the Catholic Church during her stay at the Meadows. Carole loved Jesus since 1976 and attended weekly Bible studies while at the Meadows.

Carole was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Marie Hudkins, husband Joseph
Kovarik and daughter-in-law, Lisa Davis-Kovarik.

Carole is survived by her children Kelly, Michael and Lori (Tenopir), Mark and (Lisa) Davis-Kovarik. Grandchildren CJ, Matthew, Sarah (Austin), Benjamin (Kate), Kirk, Adam (Hailey), great-grandchildren Mia and Kayden.

Private family services will be held at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery.
