David A. Long, 52, of Lincoln, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2018, after a courageous battle with his many health issues at Mercy Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa. He was born in Iowa City, Iowa, on August 18, 1965. Dave worked as an electrician for 22 years, until he suffered an accident that left him disabled. Dave had a passion for muscle cars and was a fan of the Denver Broncos, the St. Louis Cardinals, and, of course, the Huskers. He also greatly enjoyed the casinos and could be found at the Black Jack tables.
Dave met the love of his life in May of 2017. Even though their relationship was short-lived, he loved Mary deeply and completely. She was his angel and lit up whenever she came into the room. Dave never had children of his own and took her daughters and granddaughters as his own. He loved them all but especially loved her granddaughter, Savanna. He truly enjoyed the last months of his life and left this earth a happy man.
Dave is survived by his girlfriend, Mary Siudzinski, and her daughters and son-in-law, Rebecca (PJ) Houston, Erica Molczyk, and granddaughter, Savanna Molczyk.
He was preceeded in death by his parents and grandparents.
