Dennis Waddelow

–

Waverly, Nebraska

Dennis L. Waddelow was taken home to be with the Lord on March 19, 2024. He was battling health issues due to cirrhosis of the liver for several years; he passed in the comfort of his home. Survived by his mother - Peggy Waddelow, wife - Karen Waddelow; five children - Benjamin Waddelow, Rebekah Waddelow, Jonathan Waddelow, Elizabeth Knotts, Christopher Waddelow, and three grandchildren Faith, Soraya, and Eleanor.

He was born to William Waddelow (Navy Veteran) and Peggy Waddelow in San Diego, CA. on July 7, 1960, and resided there until moving to Nebraska. He worked as a land surveyor. Dennis was ordained as a pastor at Calvary Chapel Chula Vista (CA) in 1995. He felt a calling from the Lord to move to Lincoln, NE to start a church. In July of 1999, along with his wife, and at the time four children, made the move to Lincoln. He continued working as a land surveyor while getting settled and involved with the community. He started his ministry at Peoples City Mission teaching Bible Studies and ministering to people. The Calvary Chapel of Lincoln church began in his home. In the years to follow the church and ministries grew. He was involved in the community with the prison ministry, pregnancy center, and Child Evangelism Fellowship. The Calvary Chapel of Lincoln church will continue to serve the community of Lincoln. Matthew 4:19.

The memorial service will be on April 6th, at Calvary Chapel Lincoln, 415 N 66th St. Lincoln. Visitation is at 10:00 am, service is at 11:00 am. Service will be live streamed at Calvary Chapel Lincoln Facebook. Burial will be on April 8th, 10:00 am, at Rosehill Cemetery 14621 Heywood St., Waverly.

The family would like to thank everyone who was praying for Dennis’s healing; the prayers were answered, just not the way we were hoping. He is now perfectly healed and rejoicing with his Savior. We may not understand God’s ways, but He is good and we rest in that. Thank you so much for your love and support since his passing. We are amazed by all the friends and acquaintances we haven’t been in contact with in years that have been praying for us and offering support; the love we feel from you all is sometimes overwhelming, as if there was no time or distance.
