Gary Templeton

It is with a heavy heart that I, Andrew Templeton, share the passing of my loving father, Gary Templeton, on December 2nd, 2023. Born in Colorado Springs, CO, on November 6th, 1944, to Gene Templeton and Virginia Damrow, Gary was a beacon of compassion and creativity, one who touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Gary was a man of many talents, but his most notable was his knack for wood working. Through this passion, Gary illustrated not just his love for nature, but his creative spirit.

Living in various places including Lincoln, Denver, and Colorado Springs before settling in Roca, Nebraska, in the home that he built with his wife father and son on family land.

Survived by his devoted wife, Rose, and his proud sons, Mark and Andrew (Marcia) grandchildren Aaron, Grant, Corrina, Emily and Lorelei Greatgrandson Keigan, Sisters Barbara Price, Judy (Randy) Klein, brother in law Peter (Diana) Gillatt and numberous nieces and nephews. Gary's love and laughter will continue to resonate within all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene Templeton and Virginia Damrow.

Gary was a loving husband, a caring father, and a compassionate human being. He was an embodiment of love, creativity, humor, and compassion, attributes that will live on in our memories of him. His love for his family was the cornerstone of his life, and his legacy will be remembered through the love and unity he fostered within us.
