Gerald (Jerry) passed away peacefully in Lincoln, NE at the age of 90. Jerry was born in Omaha, NE to Anton and Maria Paulson. He graduated from Omaha Benson High School in 1946. Later, he married Ruth Havig in 1951. Jerry also served in the US Army during the Korean War.\n\nFor 40 years, until his retirement in 1987, he worked for Western Electric. He and Ruth resided in Osage, IA, Omaha, Aurora, CO, and most of their married life in Norfolk.\n\nJerry was known for his quick wit and attention to detail. He enjoyed square dancing, playing cards, yardwork, fixing things, and traveling. He was also an avid NHS Panther fan. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. He will be warmly remembered for his humor, whistling, and love of family. \n\nHe is survived by his spouse of 67 years, Ruth; daughters Sue (Ted) Kisgen of Henderson, NC, Carol (Joe) Bolubasz of Lincoln; sons Eric Paulson and Jeff Paulson of Omaha; grandchildren Nick (Lee) Bruner of Fairfax, VA, Jennifer (Todd) Laughlin of Cary, NC, Christopher (Madison) Kisgen of Raleigh, NC, Lucas Bolubasz of Kearney and Sophie Bolubasz of Lincoln; great-grandchildren Micah and Clara Bruner, Grey and Brynn Kisgen; nieces, nephew.\n\nPreceded in death by his parents; brother John Paulson; sisters Lily (George) Otto and Martha Miller.
