James W. (Jim) Landenberger

James W. "Jim" Landenberger, 81, Lincoln, Nebraska, died on July 18, 2014 at home. Born in Columbus, Nebraska on December 8, 1932 to Chester and Ruth (Bovey) Landenberger.

Raised and graduated from high school in York, Nebraska. Was Supply manager at Lincoln Telephone and Telegraph Co. and retired after 42 years of service. Member United Lutheran Church, Lancaster Lodge #54 A.F. & A.M., Scottish rite, Frank H. Woods Pioneers Association.

Jim is survived by his wife, RoJean; son, Steve (Maureen); daughter, Sherry Yarnell; step-sons, Ronald (Heidi) Johnston, Richard (Teresa) Johnston; 4 granddaughters, 1 grandson and 2 great-grandsons. Preceded in death by parents and 2 sisters.

Visitation will be held Tuesday (July 22) from 12 pm to 5 pm, and Wednesday (July 23) from 9 am to 5 pm.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, July 24, 2014 at United Lutheran Church, 5945 Fremont Street, with luncheon to follow. Burial will be held at Lincoln Memorial Park. Please dress casually.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to United Lutheran Church or the wounded warrior project.
