Karen Koinzan (Nordmeyer), 71 of Lincoln, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2020. She was born December 25, 1948 to Jerry and Betty (Tobey) Nordmeyer in Burwell, NE. Karen grew up between Grand Island, York and Lincoln and graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School--class of 1967. Karen completed some college at the Lincoln School of Commerce. On September 23, 1978, Karen married the love of her life, Harry (Mick) Koinzan.\n\nKaren worked as an office manager and payroll clerk for over 35 years, most recently enjoying working for ComfortTechs. Karen was very involved in Job's Daughters, first as the Mother of a Member, then as the Guardian Secretary for many years. In her free time, she loved spending time with family, including her children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews. Karen was a lover of animals and always had at least one pet. Her beloved dog Sam passed away earlier this year and her dog Poncho is now lost without her.\n\nKaren is survived by her children, Stacy (Robert) Svoboda, Christopher Koinzan, Meghan (Eric) Svik, and Sarah (Phillip) Voogt; grandchildren, Tyler Degner, Elizabeth (Trevin) Chramosta, Jessica Svoboda, Morgan Bennett, Elliott Voogt, Peyton Svik, Myles Voogt, Maddox Voogt and Charlotte Svik; siblings, Susan Meyer and James Nordmeyer. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and many other beloved family members.\n\nFuneral services will be held on October 23, 2020 at 10am at the Gresham Presbyterian Church. Graveside service following at the Gresham Cemetery.
