Kim Ackley

Kim R. Ackley (Helm), 65, of Lincoln, passed away on August 7, 2026, with her family by her side. She was born on September 3, 1960, in Omaha, NE to Sandra Rainey and Robert (Bob) Helm. Kim was a caring mother and a dear friend.

Kim is survived by her brothers, Kevin and Kenny Helm; sister, Tonja Helm (Dave); sons, Jason (Lee) and Derrick (Melissa) Ackley; grandchildren, Caleb, Riley, Kirah, Stevie, and Kaden.

Kim is preceded in death by her parents, Sandra and Bob Helm; husband, William "Bill" Ackley; and sister, Billie Helm.

Kim was fully invested into her family. She took joy in calling and texting them often. She also had many close friendships that she continued to grow. She was an avid animal lover. She especially loved dogs. Her face would like up whenever she got to see her "grand puppies." She also had a great taste in music, from heavy metal to alternative rock. But, everyone that knew her knows that she had a special place in her heart for Guns N Roses. She was an administrator for many of their fan groups.

Kim was a kind soul with a big heart that knew how to love. She was an amazing Mother, Mother-in-law, Grandmother, friend, and pet lover. Her family was everything to her and she loved them all so much. She will be missed greatly and never forgotten.
