Leonard R. Wilhelm

Leonard R. Wilhelm, 85, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020, at CHI Health St. Elizabeth in Lincoln, Nebraska. Leonard was born August 11, 1934, in Princeton, Nebraska, the son of Leonard and Gertrude (Fulle) Wilhelm. He served in the U. S. Airforce from 1953 to 1957. Leonard worked and retired from the Burlington Northern Railroad. He enjoyed the time spent at the Northeast Senior Center, camping, fishing, and trains.

Leonard is survived by his daughters, Annell Wilhelm (Dave Cashman) of Lincoln, NE, Joene Cheeks, Luana (Harry) Clark all of Ft. Myers, FL, and Diane (Robert) Irwin of Eagle, NE; four grandchildren, Allen Clark, Amanda Clark, Jason Irwin, and Jennifer Irwin; and one great-granddaughter, Lucy.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, March 14th, at Lincoln Family Funeral Care, 5844 Fremont St, with military honors. Burial will take place at Omaha National Cemetery on a later date.
