Lynn Anderson

–

Lincoln, Nebraska

Lynn Marie Anderson passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025, at the Waterford at Wilderness Hills memory care facility in Lincoln, Nebraska, with her sister, Mari Sanders, by her side.

Born on November 7, 1957, in Holdrege, Nebraska, Lynn grew up on a farm in Williamsburg Township, Phelps County. She attended R-3 through eighth grade, then graduated from Holdrege High School and attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. After college graduation in 1980, she moved to Denver, CO, and worked at a marketing research company. She joined Trinity United Methodist Church in downtown Denver. Lynn made a life filled with friends, music, faith, and fiber arts.

Lynn enjoyed singing in the church choir and participating in the bell choir. She was passionate about knitting and cross stitching. Her handiwork was enjoyed by all who saw or received a piece of her beautiful fiber art. She enjoyed travelling, collecting pottery, driving through the mountains, and listening to concerts in the park.

In 2002, Lynn was diagnosed with an anaplastic oligoastrocytoma brain tumor. She courageously fought the effects of the tumor for the next 23 years, working when she could and continuing her fiber arts projects as she was able.

Lynn leaves behind her sister, Mari Sanders; her brother, Stephen (Jan) Anderson; nieces and nephews; cousins Lori (Craig) Floyd, Juli (Dudley) Kardell, and Jim (Angie) Palmer; and special friend, Kathy Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Mary Anderson, and brother-in-law, J.R. Sanders.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on July 19, 2025, at Williamsburg United Methodist Church, 74656 J Rd, Elm Creek, NE 68836.
