Lynn Elizabeth Darling, 85, of Lincoln, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018. Born to Homer and Elizabeth "Betty" Turner on March 21, 1933 in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was raised on a dairy farm between Lincoln and Denton. \n\nLynn was a descendant of Noah Webster, author of the American Dictionary of the English Language. She graduated from the University of Nebraska with a major in Horticulture. \nHer life touched many people over the years, as she was very active with traveling with the Friendship Force being an ambassador of good will for numerous foreigners. She educated and led people by being an active member of the Audubon society, planting trees and plants across the greater Lincoln area.\n\nAs she grew older, she continued her educating young people by holding an annual field trip to her property. She would show children the different plants and animals, educating them on the balance of nature.\n\nShe is preceded in death by her parents; Homer and Elizabeth Turner, sister; Ann Stebbing, and brother; Joe Turner.\n\nShe is survived by her 3 children; Sayre, Doug, and Brad Darling, 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
