Margaret "Heidi" Undercoffer died in hospice on August 3rd, 2022 at the age of 63. Heidi was born in Frankfurt, Germany and lived an Army brat life, residing in Europe, Hawaii and Ohio, where she attended Kent State University. During their childhood years in Ohio and later Nebraska, Heidi gave her girls a life filled with creativity and color. Heidi had many gifts: she could walk into a thrift store and walk out with the most impeccably styled outfit in the room; MacGyver-ed beautiful home spaces with only a can of paint, a screwdriver, and a dream; and taught those she loved the power of imagination.\n\nHeidi was a pharmacy technician by trade, touching the lives of hundreds of co-workers and patients alike. She was often the recipient of a harried phone call asking about the proper medication for a pediatric fever or adult earache, and those on the line would find themselves on the receiving end of a mini-lesson on Latin roots.\n\nMourning her absence are her daughters, Jennifer Brown (son-in-law Jeromie Brown) and Helen Cooper. Her grandsons, Eli, Joshua, and Peyton Brown enjoyed fishing, hiking, and painting with their grandmother, and her granddaughters, Ruby and Lucy Rogers, could always depend on grandma for endless hours of swing pushes and sugary snacks their mother pretended not to know about. Heidi is also survived by her partner, Patrick Reynoldson and her best girl, Naviyah, with whom she shared many camping trips, nature walks, and visits to the dog park.\n\nHeidi was a master gardener who had the remarkable gift of being able to grow beautiful things in the most adverse conditions. In lieu of gifts, those who would like to honor Heidi should plant a native pollinator in her memory, an act that would reflect Heidi's great contribution to the world: leaving it a more beautiful place than she found it. An open house will be held for loved ones to pay final respects on Saturday, August 13th from 11-1 at Lincoln Family Funeral Care.
