Mary Beatty

–

Douglas, Nebraska

Mary Beatty, born on August 20, 1946, in Los Angeles, CA, was known for her joy, laughter, and love in every life she touched. Known for her spirited sense of humor, her warm, loving heart, and her unique ability to find the sass in every situation, Mary had a knack for bringing light into even the darkest moments. She loved her family, who mattered most to her, and she cherished every moment spent with them. In the words of Saint Paul, "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails." (1 Corinthians 13:4, 7-8) This verse perfectly encapsulates the essence of Mary's vibrant life.

After moving from her birthplace of Los Angeles, Mary made her home in Douglas, Nebraska for 33 years, where she lived a fulfilling and happy life with her loving husband, Doran Beatty, whom she married on April 13, 1991. Mary was an industrious woman who worked diligently until her retirement from Bendix in 1991. Retirement, however, did not slow Mary down. Instead, it gave her the opportunity to dive wholeheartedly into her hobbies of creating porcelain dolls, as she enjoyed shoe shopping, and watching Dr. Pol. These activities brought Mary great joy and allowed her to express her creativity and zest for life in unique and tangible ways.

Mary is survived by her caring husband, Doran Beatty, and her loving daughters Kathie, Marilyn, and Christina Salas. She leaves behind a wealth of cherished memories with her grandchildren: Raymond and Shyann Salas, Ryan and Lori Salas, Nathan and Natalie Ramos, Andrew and Jessica Salas, Francisco Salas, Isabella Salas, Alissa Robert, Jonnie Robert, Jonathan and Natalie Robert. Her legacy of love continues through her great-grandchildren: Eva, Matthew, Adaline, Emeric, Willow, Charlie, Oliver, David, John, Anthony, Theo and Jazalena. She also leaves behind her brother, John Cordero. Mary was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Salas, whose memory she held dear to her heart.
