Michael Lloyd

Michael Ray Lloyd, affectionately known to many as Mike, completed his earthly journey on August 27, 2026. Born to the late William Lloyd and Wanda Grobe on July 29, 1959, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He was raised in Milford, Virginia. Mike grew up to be a man of many adjectives, but most notably, he was loving, funny, compassionate, and empathetic.

Michael’s life was a testament to his caring nature. Despite the challenges he faced with disability, he lived his life with unyielding optimism and an innate ability to find joy in the simplest of things—a trait that made him a beacon of hope and comfort for those around him. His hobbies, which ranged from fishing to horse track races, to gambling, were a reflection of his adventurous spirit and love for life. A keen follower of politics, Michael was known for his passionate debates and insightful viewpoints. His love for reading was only surpassed by his love for Della Reese, whose works he devoured with enthusiasm.

Family was at the heart of everything Michael did. His daughter, Johannah Bueoy, was the apple of his eye, and his grandchildren were his pride and joy, their stories and achievements his favorite tales to tell. His bond with Betty Brock and Raymond Curtis Lloyd Jr. was one of unwavering friendship and shared laughter, a testament to his ability to nurture relationships that stood the test of time.

Michael's departure leaves a void in our hearts, but his spirit lives on in the smiles of his daughter, the laughter of his grandchildren, and the friendships he cherished. As we remember Michael, let us celebrate his life and the love he gave us all. His life was a tapestry of loving moments, funny anecdotes, compassionate actions, and empathetic conversations, all woven together to create a man who was truly one of a kind.

Mike is survived by his daughters, Johannah (Jason) Bueoy, Cassondra (Bruce) Scheidt; grandchildren, Kaden Gamez, Kyla Bueoy, Hartley Suck, Dax Bueoy, Luca Bueoy, Nevaeh Bueoy, Tyjona Suck,;great-granddaughter, Avianna Vaughn; sisters, WandaMay, Valarie, Crystal; brother, Eddie, numerous aunts and uncles and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by parents, William and Wanda Jean; son, Michael Angelo Lloyd.
