Neil E. Thorson, Sr Obituary (1930 - 2014)

Neil E. Thorson, Sr, 83, of Lincoln, passed away Sunday (9/21). Born to Ernest and Elsie (Nelson) Thorson on September 25, 1930 in Sioux Falls, SD. Lifetime member of the American Legion and VFW of Ashland. Neil served in the US Army as well as the US Navy. Neil was a prankster, he loved to cook, and was a football and baseball fanatic, he especially loved Husker sports. Neil is survived by his wife, Lucy; daughter, Sue Lehman; son, David Lehman; daughters, Carol (Don) Mahoney, Lisa (Ed) Woeppel, Mary (Greg) Graber, Pam (Dan) Goedeken; son, Neil Thorson, Jr; 17 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother; Russell, sisters; Eunice and Florence, daughter-in-law; Julie.
