Rex Schuette

Rex Amos Schuette, 74, of Lincoln, NE passed away on July 23, 2024 peacefully at his home.

Rex was born at Beatrice, NE, on Nov. 15th, 1949. He retired from a long career at Nebraska Book Company in 2004 and enjoyed a retirement job at the north Lincoln Menards to fill some time.

He is survived by his son, Owen Schuette; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Ryan Sheely; grandchildren, Paige Schuette, Jack Schuette, and Wyatt Sheely; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ray and Sarah Hubbard. Other survivors include nieces, nephews, and many special friends.

Rex was preceded in death by his son, Noah Schuette; wife, Jane Schuette; Father and Mother Irvin Schuette and Laura Schuette; Brother, Rodney Schuette.

No funeral services. A Celebration of Life will be held at Rex’s longtime home located at 3303 S 29th Street, Lincoln, NE, on Friday, Sept. 6th, at 4pm. Casual dress. Memorials will go to the Disabled American Veterans.
