Royce Booe Obituary (1947 - 2021)

Royce Dean Booe, Born November 14th, 1947, passed away on December 10th, 2021. He is survived by his sister, Virginia Etter of Columbus, GA, son Brian Booe of Sidney, NE, daughter in-law Dana Booe (Nienhueser) of Sidney, NE. He had 3 grandchildren, Lucas (16), Trevor (11), Connor (7). He was preceded in death by his parents, William Harold Booe and Betty Booe-Milligan, and 3 brothers, Ronald Booe, David Booe, William Booe. Royce, growing up, moved all over the world. Born to a military family in Virginia, he lived in Illinois, Alaska, Texas, Germany, Kansas, and found his way home to Nebraska. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He was honorably discharged with the National Defense Service Medal on June 11th, 1973. Once a Marine, always a Marine. He went to the University of Nebraska at Omaha and received a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education. He married Camilla Rose Anderson and they had Brian Arthur Booe on July 15th, 1978, in Omaha NE. They later divorced. Royce will always be remembered for his giving nature and willingness to help. This was best seen at the Barnabas Project in Lincoln, NE and at the YWCA.
