Ruby Nadine Rogers, 86, passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at the Monarch House in Lincoln. She was born to her parents Elmer and Iola Baxter on October 16, 1935, near Wellfleet, Nebraska. Ruby was raised there along with her siblings and graduated from North Platte High School.\n\nLeRoy and Ruby's families worshipped the Lord at the Berean Church in North Platte and so grew in knowing one another. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and accepted Him as her Lord and Savior at a young age. LeRoy and Ruby dated for two years with one of those years having LeRoy in the Air Force and Ruby attending Bob Jones University. While in the service LeRoy returned home and asked for her father's permission to marry this beautiful young lady and did so on December 19, 1954, in North Platte.\n\nRuby was a dedicated and supportive wife and mother. She will be missed by her loving husband LeRoy, children Rodney Rogers living in Mexico, Kevin and Diana Rogers of Lincoln, Christy Brown of York, 9 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, brother Kenneth Baxter of North Platte, sister Ronda [Baxter] Bryant of Virginia, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Iola Baxter, brothers Everald and Wendall, and sister Nelda.\n\nA Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Indian Hills Community Church, 1000 South 84th Street Lincoln, Nebraska 68510. A reception will follow at church.\n\nMemorials can be made to Indian Hills Community Church 'Sound Words Bookstore'.
