Stanley White

Stanley Lee White, 78, of Palmyra, Nebraska passed away on January 1, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Stan was born on December 22, 1946, to Raymond and Leta “Brinkman” White in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was raised on the family farm south of Palmyra. Growing up he was an active member of FFA and a lettered athlete in football, basketball, and track. He graduated in 1964 from Palmyra High.

After graduation, Stan enlisted in the National Guard serving until Nov 6, 1971. During that time he met the love of his life Barbara Rustermier and began working at ADM. Stan and Barb were married on May 17, 1968, and eventually became parents to Christy and Steve. They resided in Lincoln until moving back to the family homestead in 2003. Stan retired from ADM in 2008. He then worked for CIP as a maintenance tech for the power wash for a couple of years, and then he finally retired to then become a farmer! He would wake up before the crack of dawn as he loved to watch the sunrise with his furbabies. He filled his days with what he enjoyed most “tinkering” in the shop.If Stanley couldn’t fix it, it couldn’t be fixed.
Stan had several hobbies, his first and foremost was his family and friends! He supported his kids and grandchildren (Preston, Kaela, and Kirah) in everything they did! He never missed a dance recital, volleyball, football, basketball, baseball, or hockey game. He also was Steve’s crew chief and head mechanic during his go cart career. Stan’s other hobbies included racing of any kind. He traveled and competed for over six decade all over the United Stated and Canada.
Those left behind to cherish his memories are his wife, Barbara White; children, Christy and Steve White; grandchildren, Preston Block, Kaela and Kirah White; Bonus grandchildren Matt, Megan & Bentley Roach. Zach & Eli Roach, Vanessa Protzman.
Proceeded in death by his parents Raymond and Leta White, Mother and Father in law Bernard and Virginia Rustermier, sister JoAnn White Sturdy and son in law Paul Roach.
