Thomas Eugene Harig

Born on May 16, 1948 to Leonard and Eva (Blake) Harig. Enjoyed 30 yrs. of marriage to Sheryl (Mertes) Harig. Retired Goodyear Tire & Rubber 37 yrs., United Steel Workers Local 286. Foster Parent 20 yrs., fostered over 85 children, and a past member of Lincoln Abate.

Tom was a quiet hard working man, always with a smile on his face for his many friends, who also played hard. From family camping trips to fly-fishing with his best friends Larry Brockman, Arnie Weise and brother in law Jack Mertes in his beloved Wyoming. Coyote hunting, trapping and competitive shooting with Howard Hight (aka. Zero) was always special to him. He enjoyed his role as Tech Director for Mad Jack, Enduro races and crew chief for Cathy Mertes at Eagle Raceway, as well as giving helpful hints to Kevin Anderson (about driving his race car: which was always good for a laugh.) He was always ready for his next great adventure.

Survivors include his children Michelle (Harig) Johnson, Tammie (Harig) Hagadorn, Tracie (Harig) Threedouble and spouses, all of California, Jason Harig, Jessica Harig, CJ Harig of Lincoln, 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, Brothers Daryl Harig, Robert Harig of Lincoln. Preceded in death by parents and granddaughter Amanda Orme.
